I am a Geography graduate from Oxford University with a particular interest in landscape, history and industrial heritage. Let me help you to discover the countryside and architecture of the Lake District, Eden Valley and Pennine Dales. I am also a qualified tourist guide for Northumbria (the north-east of England) and am happy to show you Durham, Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland and Hadrian’s Wall. I have also acted as a tour manager for extended coach tours throughout Britain. I was Town Mayor of Kendal in 2005/6 and a member of Cumbria County Council from 2005-2023. I was Chairman of the County Council in both 2014/15 and 2016/17.
