Our walks are bespoke and flexible rather than a regular scheduled provision. We take enquiries from individuals and family, friendship or community groups and we offer rare insights into places you thought you knew but have yet to really discover!

  • Visit Ambleside with its Roman fort, milling, market and literary history.
  • Visit Hawkshead with its Viking roots, monastic and wool history and experience where William Wordsworth went to school
  • Visit Keswick with its magnificent views of Skiddaw and Derwent Water and history of copper mining, pencil making and the Romantic Poets.
  • Visit Penrith , a bustling market town with charming winding alleyways and a
    history of Border Raiders.

How to book your very own guided walk?

  • For enquiries and a quote please email info@cumbriatouristguides.org.
  • Please state the required date, time, and group size, including the number of children and their ages, any disabilities or any accompanying pets. We strive to give a very personalised service so the more information we have the better your experience will be.
  • Enquiries are welcome from families, friendship groups and organisations. Group size is limited to 20, but if there is demand a second guide will be sourced.
